"Different" OTB Chess Tactics... First of all I'd like to say I loved ccmcacollisters forum thread about cheating, I couldn't think of anything to add, all situations I experienced were already mentioned! Reading that thread, gave me the idea to start this funny one... I have played at 10+ otb chess tournaments before and have come across many players who use tactics other than pure brain power and thought it would be funny to share it with… More: chess online

Crushing the king's indian I know that the king's indian is a sound defense, but it also has a reputation of being very risky for black. I want to crush it if I can with the white pieces, but I am not sure which of the many variations to play against it as white. Anybody have any insider knowledge about this or any experience with good success beating the king's indian? Particularly which variations were/are successful. Thanks. Try Saemisch… More: backgammon online

what do you play to the caro? as white im having a bit of difficulty against the caro. I used to play nc3 knights takes e4 and then drift to a position where white coloured bishops come off and black as very good control of d5 and i find it very hard to play this position. I have taken a look at the attacking e5, but this leads to a lot of complications and i think black often has good play in the centre. I dont really like the look of the play chess online…

Gary wimps out... ...in game 6,drawing a promising position in 28 moves.I suppose the inevitable rematch is on its way. Gary claims he had a "headache",that's why he offered the draw. Yeah, the headache was a migraine named Deep Junior. Garry admitted… in the postmatch interview that he was trying harder to avoid losing than to win. IMO humans can no longer beat the world's best computers in a match of this type. I heard it too,and I think... play chess online…

Delaying the game when the end is near Isn't there something that can be done about this? board #860397 well, what to do? I have some times had my suspicion about somebody delaying a loss. But I guess it is mostly a mistake from me. Why should anybody postpone ALL games, just because he is bad in our? That guy you play can't be bad in all his 24 games. At least that is what I think. Sportive or not? I got this position in an OTB blitz tournament the other day. Maybe one of the greatest positional player ever! Best wishes Cairo unfortuantly He put down some time in refuting some lines of the Alekhine's :((( I RESPECT KARPOV! A small tip to improve (online) analysis... Hi, I just thought of sharing this small tip that has helped me. I do most of my analysis online because of my limited free time. I am often online from my office during the day...and it's free! :) When I've started playing chess, two of my biggest error in a game were 1) not knowing what to do (no game plan).... 1) blunder mostly by hanging pieces, or overlooking moves because of my tendency to play play chess online…
